Stepping power down and creating balance.
Stepping power down.
I remember a vision I had years ago of the physical body being like an expression of a larger and more etheric body. Sort of like how a thought is sent out. The thought is not independent of the “thinker”, even if it becomes self-aware to some degree. The physical body is completely within this more expansive and etheric body. It is important to keep ourselves clean/clear and strong. Balance will maintain a healthy system.
Power moves through everything in creation. We interact with it in varying degrees and can understand how this process works through understanding ourselves. Power is neither good nor bad. It’s just how things work. We can learn how to better care for ourselves by being a good student of what senses/perceptions teach us.
Sometimes we might think something is “wrong” because of an influx of power, and if we’re used to exhausting a lot of power, we may think something is “wrong” when we’re not exhausting ourselves like we’re used to. It’s easier to personalize things and be critical of ourselves when we’re not quite clear on what is going on. This writing serves to hopefully remind us.
Choice is something we always have. It is one of the few constants in life (along with change). The rationalizing part of our minds has served to build a lot of amazing things, yet we also can get caught up in the running mind that wants to try to make sense of things when there isn’t a need for it. I think it’s possible we are actually doing quite well for ourselves and on a good track in life. It’s okay to realize when our minds want to fixate again, but rather take a deep breath and just enjoy what we love in this moment.
Power/energy can get “stuck”. Power and energy work within patterns that work. When we are trying to force things or control things (that are not up to us to try to control), we create conflict. This makes it harder for us to be clear again. Again, just a few deep in-breaths and out-breaths (while paying attention to the air coming in and out, while breathing from our lower diaphragm) can significantly help us release and balance our energy system. Breath, the mind, and the body are connected.
On any day, when you realize you have come to rebalance yourself again, pay attention to what you are doing and how you may or may not be thinking. Whatever you just did or didn’t do worked. What was it? It could have been as simple as getting out of bed instead of beginning your day trying to play it all out in your head before you even started it. Maybe you decided to not engage with the person in passing you normally do and who usually drains your energy. Maybe you simply looked at some beautiful flowers because you love flowers. It could be anything. I hope you enjoy what you enjoy. Joy is good.
