The River
The river is both the path and the stream. It is always changing. It didn’t choose its place or size. It is not one thing or another. It just is.
Just like the river, we each move down our path and we each are made for and of water. As the river can only welcome life as it happens, so do we. The river speaks of the balance or emotion of the greater whole. It is a messenger of the messages it receives. It is a channel.
It would be impossible for the river to imagine it is only the dirt underneath the water, the worn ground on its ever changing borders, or only the amount and current of the changing waters it’s given.
The river realized it is always flowing, even when it is unaware. The river is not what it receives. If it is always changing, always moving, yet always here, what remains is awareness.
The river has no beginning or end. It is ground, it is water, it is always everything that is life. The water is not the river, because “river” is only a word.
Water is always present. It is in the air, clouds, ground, plants, bodies. The river then, does not have a beginning or end. Therefore, there is no middle to exist. It is not coming or going, because it has always been and continues to be.
Instead of holding onto the information the river carries, the river can choose to understand the information it carries.
